IT TECHNICIAN
Technicom Nord-Ouest Inc. is seeking an IT Support Technician to join its team in Abitibi-Témiscamingue. As our IT department continues to grow, we are looking to add a new team member to support our expansion and meet increasing demand.
Salary: $54,000 to $93,000 per year (depending on experience).
You will provide user support and manage IT equipment fleets for various clients, both remotely and on site, in an environment focused on knowledge sharing and continuous improvement.
Your main responsibilities
• Diagnose and resolve IT incidents (workstations, peripherals, software, access)
• Manage requests through a ticketing system
• Prepare, configure, and install workstations and equipment
• Install, configure, and maintain software and applications
• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance
• Document interventions and keep inventory up to date
• Participate in the deployment of new solutions
• Apply security and confidentiality policies
Desired profile
• Autonomy, attention to detail, and strong organizational skills
• Excellent customer service approach and strong communication skills in French
• Valid driver’s licence
• DEC in IT (2 years of experience) OR
DEP in IT (5 years of experience) OR
Equivalent certifications with relevant experience
• Knowledge of Windows environments and networking
• Criminal record compatible with work in government environments; a background check and a confidentiality agreement will be required.
Working conditions
• Permanent full-time position
• Day shift: 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, Monday to Friday
• Remote support and on-site interventions
• Structured environment focused on service quality and best practices

TELECOMMUNICATIONS TOWER TECHNICIAN
– Install telecom equipment on towers.
– Use lifting equipment: pulleys, ropes, slings, etc.
– Use various electronic test devices.
– Install metal structural reinforcement (towers)
Key requirements
– Excellent physical condition
– Able to work far from home or in remote areas.
– Able to work and live with colleagues.
– Able to work in wind, snow, mosquitoes, etc.
– Strong awareness of hazards.
– Generally motivated and passionate about what they do.
– Handles a changing schedule well.
